A gathering of government, business and community leaders attended a groundbreaking event today at the highly-anticipated Springline at District 60, a mixed-use development near the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Chippenham Parkway. The project will be developed over the next few years, with part of phase one called The James at Springline, which includes 298 apartment units and 28,000 square-feet of ground level retail. The investment for this portion of the project is over $80 million and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

Timmons Group announced today they will develop a 150,000-square-foot office building to serve as their new corporate headquarters within the Springline at District 60 mixed-use project.

Weidmüller Group, a provider of smart industrial connectivity products and solutions that connect and automate electrical power and signaling for components, machines, and installations worldwide, announced today it will invest $16.4 million to expand its existing Richmond operation at 821 Southlake Boulevard in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield Board of Supervisors and the Economic Development Authority of Chesterfield County are thrilled to announce the demolition of the old and underutilized Spring Rock Green shopping center to make way for an exciting new development – Springline at District 60.
