Timmons Group announced today the completion of a key construction milestone of their new office headquarters with the topping off of the last steel beam. The announcement took place today at a ceremony with community leaders and elected officials at the Springline development at District 60. The five story, 150,000-square-foot office building will also serve as the administrative offices for the Chesterfield County Public Schools and Department of Economic Development.

Construction started in August of this year and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024. The $50 million project of Class A office space is fully leased and will house approximately 400 Timmons employees. The Hourigan Group is the construction contractor for the project.

“The topping off of the building marks an important milestone for the project,” said Brian Bortell, President and CEO of Timmons Group. “Hourigan is making extremely good progress with construction, and we are excited that very soon our employees will be in a new office building located in District 60.”

“It’s exciting to see the topping off of the Timmons office building happening so quickly,” said Chesterfield Board of Supervisors Chair Kevin Carroll. “This is an extremely important project for Chesterfield in terms of creating a new home for the Timmons Group, Chesterfield County Public Schools, and the Department of Economic Development.”

“Having the Timmons Group’s corporate headquarters at the Springline development is an important part of the overall development project’s success,” said Mark S. Miller, Ph.D., who represents the Midlothian District on the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors. “People are telling us they want high-quality places to live, work, and play in Chesterfield, and Springline will deliver on that vision.”

“Having the Timmons Group’s office building at the Springline development keeps their corporate headquarters in Chesterfield and allows them to grow their talented workforce,” said Mark S. Miller, Ph.D., who represents the Midlothian District on the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors. “People are telling us they want high-quality places to live, work, and play in Chesterfield, and Springline will deliver on that vision.”

Timmons Group is the largest engineering and technology company in the region. The project is located a mile away from their current office and they recognized that the Springline office could be an ideal site for their corporate headquarters.

The office building is a key part of the master plan for the Springline at District 60 development on the former Spring Rock Green Plaza site on Midlothian Turnpike that was approved by the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors in 2022. The site is being transformed into a premier mixed-use community featuring apartments, retail, office, and entertainment areas.
