Chesterfield County Economic Development Announces Celebrate Chesterfield Business!

Chesterfield County and this year’s sponsors join the Commonwealth of Virginia in celebrating Business Appreciation Week throughout the Commonwealth. Coordinated each year by the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, Business Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 16th – 22th, 2010.

This year’s Business Appreciation Week theme is “A Commonwealth of Opportunity”. Every day, in thousands of different ways, Virginia’s businesses touch their communities with helping hands and loyal support. “Local businesses contribute to the strength of our local economy and provide enhanced quality of life for our residents,” said Chesterfield County Administrator James J. L. Stegmaier. “I am privileged to officially thank every business in our community during Business Appreciation Week.”

Chesterfield County Economic Development will host Celebrate Chesterfield Business! for local businesses in honor of Business Appreciation on May 19th at the Courtyard by Marriott in Chester. This event is by invitation only, however, if you are interested in attending, are a Chesterfield County business and have not yet received your invitation, please contact Economic Development. Other sponsors for this year’s event include DuPont, Village Bank, Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center, Dominion, and Courtyard by Marriott.

This year Chesterfield County will be announcing the Annual First Choice Business Award winners during the event. Super Radiator Coils was the 2009 Business of the Year recipient.
